Girls Weekend in Petoskey

This weekend, the Henning Girls headed up to Petoskey to visit Kara.  We ate lots of food, drank lots of wine (most of us), painted our nails, baked, gave ourselves "facials" during a Mary Kay party, made sushi, celebrated Tamra's birthday, talked about decorating Matt and Kara's (hopefully) new house, and relaxed.  When I asked Lilly on Sunday night what her favorite thing was that we had done, she summed it up perfectly with her response: "laughed!"  I agree, that was the best part of the weekend!

We made our own sushi.  It was delicious!

Lilly took A LOT of pictures this weekend, 90% of them were deleted.  I did keep this one though.

I'm hoping "Girl's Weekend" becomes a tradition in our family.  That was fun!

Here are some pictures of our Harper-roo at about 3 and a half months.  She seems to be a social girl and wants to see what is going on.  She loves smiling and blowing raspberries. She loves being entertained by Lilly.

She also loves standing up in her exersaucer!  She occasionally will hit something that makes a sound and look around like "What was that!?!"

Lilly Takes Up Photography

Clearly Harper likes her big sister Lilly. Lilly took these photos (and about 60 others) one day when I was in the other room. I thought it was so cute how Harper was smiling at Lilly in a good majority of the pictures. We even got a few short video clips that Lilly took too. I love watching Lilly and Harper together!

Harper's First Christmas!

Ice Skating

Lilly and I went ice skating on Sunday. This was Lilly's first time on skates, let alone the ice! She did so well! By the time we were ready to go home, she could "walk" on the ice without holding my hand. She said she had fun. I think she mostly liked the pop and popcorn I bought her. Hopefully she will go with me again. Next time though, I will take another adult so I can take a few solo laps and rest by arms and back from holding her up!
