Kindergarten!

Lilly started kindergarten today. She was a little nervous and had said yesterday that she "didn't really want to go to kindergarten anymore." but she woke up ready to go! It was a half day for everyone. After school I was working in my room and Lilly decided she was going to go to the office to hang out with Mrs. Gomez, the secretary. I went down to check on her after awhile and found her in the principal's office, sitting on Mrs. Stout's lap while she talked on the phone! Then Lilly cried because she DIDN'T WANT TO GO HOME!

I guess she liked kindergarten after all...

Harper's Special Day

Lilly is in Petoskey with Matt and Kara so we decided to do something special with just Harper. I honestly think this is the first time we've ever taken just Harper anywhere!

Stop

I'd like to introduce the newest member of our family. His name is, wait for it....Stop. That's right. Lilly named her turtle Stop. We took Lilly on her first canoe trip today. We saw tons of turtles on the river. However, Stop was rescued on the way home as he was crossing the street. Levi made me pull over so he could grab him. He's been living in the wheel barrow with some water and rocks.

Disney Day 3 Animal Kingdom

We headed for Animal Kingdom on Wednesday. We used our FastPass to go on the Safari ride, rode the train to Rafiki's Island, walked through a trail, watched the parade and saw a super cool bird show. We also went to Dinosaur land and Lilly and I rode the dinosaur ride and played on the playscape with slides. Levi got sick shortly after the Safari ride so he didn't enjoy much at Animal Kingdom. I think whatever he had, Harper had on Friday after we came home. Just a stomach bug but no fun when you're vacationing.

Disney Day 2

On our second day at Disney we headed to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. We had dinner reservations at the restaurant in the Swan Hotel to eat with Goofy and Pluto (at least I thought we did. When we got there the lady couldn't find our reservations. She let us in anyway. When we got home I checked my email confirmation for the reservations and they were really for Wednesday night. Oops.). So we spent lots of time and money in Downtown Disney where there are more gift shops than you can imagine. Levi bought Lilly sunglasses before we went which Lilly managed to lose after about an hour. At least there is photographic evidence that she once owned them. No worries, the next day I picked up a cute pair someone had lost at the resort dining area. I consider it a sunglasses exchange.
For the record, Harper was terrified of Goofy and Pluto. And yes, these are the only characters we met. I didn't think standing in line to see characters was a worthwhile effort.
