Lilly was sick last week for the first time in her short life. She was running a fever all week so I took her to see Dr. Fox and she said she had a virus and sore throat. Because her fever was so high she wanted to draw some blood just to be sure. Boy that was fun. Here is a picture of our sick little girl with her right arm wrapped up in gauze. It's a good picture of her two bottom teeth too.
Here's some fun facts about Lilly at 11 months
*Lilly can say da-da, dog, kitty and occasionally I get a mumma. She will look at Dozer when he walks into the room and say "dog." She mimics the sound I make when I say "hiii!" Her favorite word however, is "doadle doadle doadle." I'm not exactly sure what this means but she says it all the time and it sounds so funny. It almost sounds like she's yodeling.
* She pulls herself up to standing around the furniture. She doesn't quite cruise around it yet.
*She can climb up the stairs but she's careful and likes to have someone behind her.
*She makes this squishy little face we've termed the "stinker face." She thinks she's halarious when she makes this face (ok, we think she is too!)The Stinker Face
*She still loves dancing. She'll start dancing to almost any music, TV commercials, toys, etc.
*She eats lots of real foods now. Some favorites are cheese, macaroni and cheese and of course, bananas. She doesn't refuse much of anything though!
*She loves books (that's my girl!) Her favorites are touch and feel books. We've checked out all of the touch and feel kitty books from the library now (they have three!)
*She loves the kitty. And he loves her....most of the time. One day I caught her with her thumb in her mouth snuggling up to him.
*She loves her special star blankie which we call her "spleepy." She burries her face in it and sucks her thumb. She also sleeps with her "pinky" every night (which is the green blanket that's pink on the other side).
Here are some recent pictures I took of Lilly at Nelson Park and some at home.
