Introducing Lillian Paige Henning.....!
Lilly was born on August 23rd, 2007 at 1:32pm at Central Michigan Community Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds and 14 ounces and was 20 and 1/2 inches long.
I went to the hospital Thursday morning to be induced at 7am. They started me on pitocin and I was having contractions but couldn't really feel them. My doctor, Dr. O'Dell, came in to break my water at 10:30. At this point I was dialated between 4-5 and 90% effaced. I started to feel contractions after this. I asked for Stadol at around 11:30 (I think) which relaxed me between contractions, but I could still feel them. At about 12:45 I started feeling like I needed to push so I asked Levi to get the nurse. She said I was fully dialted and ready to push so they called Dr. O'Dell back in. I started pushing through the contractions and Lilly was born a short time later! The nurses were amazed at how quickly I gave birth and Dr. O'Dell was very proud!
After I gave birth to Lilly, there was a tornado warning for our county. They needed to move people out of thier rooms to a safer area. I wasn't anywhere near ready to get out of bed so they wheeled my entire bed to the hallway! I was completely fine with this though because I had Lilly and that was all that mattered to me at the time. I was starving so I asked Levi to have a pizza delivered from Pizza King! I ate a chicken and onion (!) pizza in the hallway while holding Lilly during a tornado warning!
I recuperated in the hospital and Lilly got used to the world until Saturday. Lilly came home to be introduced to Dozer and the rest of the pets. She's a beautiful little girl with lots of dark hair. Mumma and Daddy fell in love!
