Christmas 2008

This year we went to Grandma and Papa Campbell's house. We drove down on Christmas Eve and spent the night. I didn't take many pictures....oops. But here's the best ones I have from the photos I did take.
Lilly playing ball with cousins Nick and Miranda

Lilly with her cousin Miranda
Lilly with Papa. She's still Papa's girl! Then we headed back to Mt. Pleasant and went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a few hours. Lilly got a tie-dyed dress from Uncle Matt and Aunt Kara. Of course she had to try it on. We thought it was adorable. The picture tells you how Lilly felt about it.....Lilly with Grandpa Henning. Very tired at this point!
One smile left for Aunt Kate

I didn't take any pictures of Lilly opening her presents from Santa. Levi video taped it so we do have proof. She got lots of goodies from Santa. She opened them on Christmas Eve after daddy came home from work! Santa didn't want us to hae to haul everything to Flint! =)

Just Some Cute Pictures!

This post is just some cute pictures I took of Lilly

this morning. Make sure you scroll down and read the million other posts I posted today. We had a busy weekend. I didn't even take any photos at the Henning Christmas party on Sunday! Whew!

Missy, Jenelle and Addy Visit

Me, Missy and Jenelle
We took a million pictures of the kids. And ONE of us. At least we got one this year!
(P.S. Jenelle has baby number 2 due in May!)
Lilly, Missy and Addy
Missy got Lilly and Addy new "sleepies." Missy bought Lilly her sleepy last Christmas and I told her how much Lilly loved it. The new sleepy has an elephant on one corner. Lilly immediately snuggled up to it. She also got them a teddy bear from FAO Schwatrz. Lilly likes to give him kisses.

Addy and Lilly "playing." Neither of them are very good at sharing at this point. We'll give that a few years.

Playing with the fridge farm.

Brady's Birthday Bash

Someone doesn't want to see Santa!
Oh wait, he has candy!

On Saturday we went down to Grand Rapids for our friends Nick and Heathers' son Brady's birthday party. We had a super fun time. Santa showed up at the restaurant before we left. I'm glad the visit was free! =)
I've been trying to teach Lilly to respond "ho ho ho" when you ask her what Santa says. Instead of "ho ho ho" she will say "woof." We've been asking her for a long time what the dog says and she will say "woof." When I asked her if she wanted to see Santa on Saturday she immediately said "woof!" Too funny!
Also, whenever she sees a flame or fire or you give her hot food she will blow on it. Lately, there has been a Burger King commercial on TV with a fireplace scene in the background. Anytime it comes on she will look up and blow at the TV. Today I put her coat on a few mintues before we were ready to leave. I asked her if she was hot. She then proceeded to blow on herself!

Christmas Shirt

I made Lilly this super cute shirt. Doesn't she look thrilled to be wearing it? Look closely at the buttons on the shirt. Within 30 seconds she had torn off the buttons. I ripped them all off before we left! Turns out I had created a wearable choking hazard!

Christmas Cookies

I was home with Lilly on Friday due to the snow storm. Luckily I had bought the ingredients for sugar cookies earlier in the week. Lilly wants to help lately so I pulled up a chair for her. She was a BIG help......!
She had a few tastes of flour. I guess she liked it-eww!

Lilly recieved a chair from Great-Aunt Phyllis (per mumma's request). I remember spinning and spinning in this little chair at grandma's house. Lilly loves to climb up into it. She especially likes when you spin her around in it! Thanks Aunt Phyllis. Lilly LOVES her new (old) chair!

Pampered Chef

Levi and I are now selling Pampered Chef. If you are interested in hosting a show (catalog or kitchen) or just want to order some stuff, let me know. At some point, we will have a web page you can look at but we have to qualify first. Which means we need 4 shows in the next month. Thanks!

Thanksgiving at the Henning's

We spent Thanksgiving at the Henning's this year. We had a wonderful time playing dominoes and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma LaBrosse as well as Aunt Debbie and Jim. Here are some photos to capture the fun.

Levi Wins!

Levi wins the bet. Lilly is defintely walking now! Here are some videos as proof that she can actually do it. She hasn't had any major accidents yet but I see a goose-egg in her future! She went from two and three steps on Friday and Saturday to 5 and 6 steps on Sunday to walking across the living room on Monday. I was terribly sick with the stomach flu on Monday so I tried not to get too close to her but I couldn't help watching her toddle from one end of the room to another! She turns 15 months old on Sunday. I will post another blog closer to then with all her other 15-month accomplishments. For now, enjoy the videos!

Notice how in both of these videos she is walking AWAY from me?? Hmph! After months and months of coaxing and teaching her she doesn't even come to me! I guess that's what being a mom is all about. Teaching them to do things so they can be more independent.....and eventually walk away. *Tear*

Lilly Does the 2-Step

Ok, so Lilly's not walking yet but she IS trying. That's what's important, right? She's defintely getting braver and I'm sure she'll be taking off before we know it. I said she'd walk before Halloween. Obviously, I lost that bet. Levi said she'd walk before Thanksgiving. Well, Lilly has less than 2 weeks to walk or Levi loses the bet too! Everyone keeps saying we don't really want her to walk because she will be into everything. I think she gets into just about everything as it is so I'm not sure it makes a difference whether she walks or crawls to get there!

Halloween Night

Lilly's Pumpkin. All of our pumpkins.

Lilly with the pumkins. She looks a little worried because it was pitch black outside and she couldn't see me calling to her.

We went to visit Kaity in her dorm room. They pass out candy in the dorms.

Lilly got her first sucker from Kaity and the girls. Yum, yum. A Dum-dum!

We also went to grandma and grandpa's house. I took her trick or treating. We only made it to two houses until I remembered why she was supposed to be walking by Halloween....she's too heavy to carry! My arms were about to fall off!

Lilly and I. Not the best angle to take a picture of me though.

School Halloween

I took Lilly to school with me on Friday morning. She had a wonderful time playing with all my students and crawling around under thier desks. Most of my girls enjoying playing "little mommy" with her, carrying her around, shoving toys in her hands, catering to her every need, etc. Levi came to pick her up in the late morning because the school went roller skating in the afternoon.
