Summer Feet

I painted Lilly's toes yesterday. She was very still and patient and even helped blow on them to dry the polish. Now we have matching toes and are ready for our flip flops. Now if it would just stay warm!

The two posts below this are from Aunt Debbie's bridal shower and Kara's bridal shower. Aunt Debbie's was this morning and Kara's was last Sunday.

Easter

Playing in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard. It was a beautiful spring day. Just perfect for an egg hunt.

Miranda helped her find the eggs. She threw them right into her basket. We threw the eggs right into the trash can when we were done with the egg hunt!

She played some ball.

Pushing her baby in the stroller. She's such a good little mommy. So funny to see her play pretend with her baby! Definitely her new favorite activity!

I'm not sure what she's looking for but this is her classic "Where'd it go?" pose.

This is Lilly discovering her basket of goodies that the Easter Bunny left her.
Thanks Grandma H., for the new Easter Basket!
(Side note: The parrots must've somehow knew I was taking a video because they are screaming at the top of their lungs during the whole thing. Seriously, if its not Dozer walking into a video, its the birds squawking or some pet finding a way to ruin my video!)

Parachute Video

I also wanted to post Lilly with the parachute. You should really read the post below this first....

Easter Egg Hunt

I took Lilly to the Easter Egg Hunt on campus today. Aunt Kate went too. Lilly played with a parachute, danced the Chicken Dance and the Hokey Poky, visited Peter Cottontail, got her finger painted to make a chick magnet with her name on it, posed with the blow-up bunnies and got a ball and an eye patch (!?!) in her eggs! We stopped afterwards to see Daddy at Silverbergs. Then we went to the park and played for an hour and a half! What a fun, fun day!

Dow Gardens: Butterflies in Bloom

We went with Aunt Phyllis today to Dow Gardens to see the Butterflies. Aunt Phyllis has a season pass to Dow Gardens so I think we will be going again as the flowers start to bloom! Lilly calls them "bugs." It was so pretty. I have never seen so many butterflies before. They fly all around and sometimes even land on you. You can see in the pictures that one landed on Lilly's hair barrette and stayed there for quite a while! She, of course, had no idea it was even there! I didn't take the time to play with the settings on my camera so I don't think the photos are of the best quality. It is kinda hard to chase a toddler around at the same time!

I tried to get her to pose on a rock before we left but she was getting pretty tired and hungry at this point!

Look carefully for the butterfly on her barrette in the next two photos!

Lilly next to some lilies. Giving the flowers a good sniff.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Things I Learned While Coloring Easter Eggs:
1. Have LOTS of paper towel on hand. You should probably plan to use at least half a roll.
2. Blue egg dye can color not only Easter Eggs, but your hand too!
3. Eggs resemble balls. Balls are normally thrown. When you open the egg carton and the first word out of your child's mouth is "ball," you should be prepared.
4. When the age on the egg dye box says 5+, they mean it. You should adhere to it.
5. We will continue the tradition of coloring Easter Eggs when Lilly is 5. Or 15. Heck, maybe 25.

Don't let her fool you. She is not being "careful" or "gentle."

I think if you double click on this one, you can see a close-up of the dye that splashed on Lilly's eyelid! You can also see the blue dye on her hands. I think she would make an excellent Smurf. Nice.

Lilly and Hyacinth

I got Lilly to smile and look at me long enough to take some cute photos. Whew! It was exhausting chasing her around the front and side yard! I was so excited that the hyacinths had bloomed. Yesterday it was snowing and today we have flowers! Enjoy the photographs! (And if you want to see them larger you should be able to double click on each picture)
