Family Party

Lilly doesn't even know how much she is loved.  Many family members came from near and far to celebrate Lilly's 6th birthday.  She had a wonderful day!

Lilly hosts her first sleepover!

Lilly had a few friends over for a sleepover.  She invited Jordyn and Briar who were her friends from school and Adele Wylie.  

 They are HUGE cupcakes!

 And Lilly opened some cool presents.

 They decorated pillowcases with fabric markers.

 They had a dance party in the sunroom! They didn't want me in there so I had to take awful pictures through the door!

 They played with some playdoh and made cakes!

 Party favors-glowsticks and flashlights to be used for the nighttime scavenger hunt!

 They went on a scavenger hunt.  There were clues to where to go next and each spot had a puzzle piece to collect.

 After collecting all the puzzle pieces, they put them together to find where they treasure was.

 It was in the front porch bench!  Balloons, whistles, necklaces, pencils, erasers, toys, galore!

 Then we popped popcorn and they layed out sleeping bags in the living room and watched the movie Epic.  We only lost 1 girl at about 9:30 when Briar decided she was ready to go home!  (I thought that might happen!).
For breakfast, the girls ate cinnamon rolls and lemonade and then it was time to go!

My living room floor was covered in popcorn and Lilly actually said, "I'm really tired!"  Signs of a successful sleepover if you ask me!

Lilly is 6!

Lilly is 6.  She will be starting first grade at Ganiard Elementary.  

Her favorite food: Macaroni and Cheese

Favorite movie: Epic (she got this for her birthday from dad).

Favorite TV show: Caillou 

Favorite Game: Hide and Seek

Favorite Restaurant:McDonald's 

Favorite toy: Baby Bear

Things she likes do: paint, color, catching bugs and frogs, playing on her swing set, swimming

Favorite Color: Purple and Pink

Food she doesn't like: Lettuce, tomato, peanut butter, mustard

Favorite drink: apple juice

Something she is looking forward to: painting her new treasure box she got as a gift 

Something she wants to learn how to do: be a teacher

Something she's scared of: the dark

Mackinac Island

 The Henning Family took a trip to Mackinac Island.  Lilly claims this was all her idea and "everyone is going to be impressed."  This girl LOVES Mackinac Island.  This is her third trip in about a year.  We all had a great time.  We missed Matt and Kara because they were busy taking care of the newest member of the Henning family-Andrew Joseph (Baby Drew).

 Mom, dad, Kate, Dave, Harper and I went on a horse drawn carriage ride while Levi and Lilly, Tamra and Josh and Georgia rode bikes around the island.

 We stopped at our favorite brunch spot on the way home on Sunday.  Then, some of us went to Traverse City to meet Drew.  The girls aren't allowed in the NICU but they sure can't wait to meet their newest cousin! 

 This is how I found Harper and Lilly sleeping.  Poor Lilly.  That girl goes to sleep and barely moves all night, not making a sound.  Harper, on the other hand, snores, breaths loudly and tosses and turns!  

I should note that I was about 31 and 1/2 weeks pregnant on this trip.  I always forget to do that.  Still hanging in there.  We're in the home stretch now!
