Lilly's 3rd Birthday Party

On Sunday, August 22nd, we had Lilly's 3rd birthday party at our house. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Lilly was absolutely spoiled by her friends and family! Thank you to everyone who came!

Lilly said she wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for a whole month before her party!

Cowgirl Lilly. Move over Woody and Jessie-there's a new sheriff in town!

Two Tutu Ladies Model Shoot

Lilly won a contest to be a model for the fall line of tutus from Two Tutu Ladies. On Sunday morning we headed down to Alma to have Lilly's pictures taken. She of course cried during the group shot and I had to talk her into doing the individual shots but I think the photographer eventually got some cute ones! She was dressed as a ladybug. I just love the cute hat!

New Puppy

On August 3rd, our beloved dog, Dozer got hit by a car in front of our house and passed away. He is absolutely irreplaceable but we were able to get a new puppy. We named him Sully (short for Sullivan from the movie Monsters, Inc.) and he is a mastiff as well. He seems to be a very well-behaved little guy. Lilly is really enjoying having an energetic new puppy around.

Isabella County Fair

We took Lilly to the fair on Tuesday. She had a blast riding all the rides-except one. The last ride she rode on was one of those little roller coasters and she cried the whole ride. I felt awful! However, she really liked everything else she went on! She said the rocket ship was her favorite!
Everytime she went around and saw us she would wave and say "Hi Mom" or "Hi dad!" To funny!

We're going to Cedar Point again this fall with the family. I'm thinking Lilly is going to REALLY enjoy it this year! (And I will enjoy watching her.)

Addyson's Party

We went to Addy's birthday party on Sunday. Shy little Lilly didn't want to play any of the games with the kids...no surprise there. They had a treasure hunt with a box full of goodies.

Bowling

We took Lilly bowling last weekend. She really had a lot of fun. She had earned a free bowling pass from the summer reading program. This picture cracks me up. After each time she threw the ball, she layed down on the floor like this. I totally did this same thing when I was on a bowling league in college! That's what cheap pitchers of PBR will do to you! I swear we didn't give Lilly any beer!

Lilly's final score was a 68. That's not too bad considering Levi scored a 102 and I scored a 100...and we all used bumpers!

Lake Mecosta

After we got home from camping and the beach on Sunday, we headed out to Mecosta to see daddy. He was visiting his friend Scott who was here from Colorado. Lilly played in the water and sand again and then daddy took her out on the jet ski! I am very surprised she wanted to go because she is not a dare-devil, risk-taker in the least! Maybe it helped that Pam took the dog out on the jet ski first. She probably figured if the dog could do it, so could she!

The Beach

On Sunday we headed across the street from camping to go to the beach. The sun popped out as soon as we stepped on the sand!
Maggie (The Campbell's dog) wasn't allowed on the beach. She really wanted to join us though!

Lilly is so excited to arrive at the beach! Lake Huron, here we come!

Family Camping Trip 2010

The Campbell Family went camping at Sleeper State Park again this year (in the Thumb near Caseville). The weather wasn't the best until Sunday and it rained most of the night on Saturday. Thankfully, Lilly and I stayed dry in the tent we shared with Ana and Miranda and their cousin Sarah. Lilly slept great in the tent. She was too exhausted not to! Cool light-up bubble gun grandma got for Lilly.

Grandma Henning's Birthday Party

Mom and Dad hosted Grandma Henning's 80th birthday Party. It was a red, white and blue theme. Take notice of my red, white and blue fruit kabobs in the picture below!
