Lilly's First Birthday

Lilly turned 1 year old yesterday. We had a lovely party to celebrate. Thank you to all who came to make the day special for Lilly. She recieved so many wonderful gifts. It's hard to believe that it has been an entire year since she entered our world.

At one year old Lilly can:
-Cruise around the furniture and stand up to just about anything. She isn't walking but it won't be too far away!

-Say "Oh wow!" and answers "Woof" to the question "What does a dog say?" (Along with many other words)

-Patty cake

-Climb the stairs (rather quickly, I might say!)

Lilly LOVED her cake!

She woke up and went right to her new wagon!

One Year Ago....

One year ago, Lilly made her entrance into our world and forever changed our lives. What a joy and blessing she is to have! It's amazing how much Lilly has grown and changed in just one year. We look forward to all she will learn and accomplish in the year ahead!
Stay tuned for birthday party pictures!

Isabella County Fair

We took Lilly to the County fair last night to see the 4-H Animals. We saw horses, cows, pigs, chickens, roosters, and bunnies. She wanted to pet them all and was so excited the whole time we were there even though it was her bedtime! She seriously loves animals. Must take after her Daddy!

Lilly's First Camping Trip

This weekend we went camping with the Campbell's, Grimes' and Anderson's. This was Lilly's first experience with camping (let alone her first vacation). She did....okay. I think she's been having a little trouble with her teeth so she was a bit crabby anyway. She slept in grandma and grandpa's trailer. She woke up a few times but grandma was willing to love on her in the middle of the night. I found Lilly sleeping in between Grandma and Grandpa on Monday morning! Here are a few pictures from the beach. Lilly didn't want sand on her hands and she only liked the water once we made it to the sand bar. The waves washing up on the beach were scarey to her! Hopefully her camping experiences will become more enjoyable in the future. We'll try again next summer I'm sure....

On a side note...her new favorite word has changed from "doadle doadle" to "doady doady." Still don't know what it means.......but it sure is cute!
Half a smile. At least it wasn't her usually pouty lip. I tried not to post the pictures with the pouty lip. Though maybe I should. It best describes her camping experience!
