Half Way to One!

Time flies when you're having fun! Lilly turned 6 months old today! Just 6 short months ago she was a tiny "frog-legged" newborn. Now she is a sqealing, babbling, rolling, sitting baby who is currently whining because she wants to eat MY lunch! It's hard to imagine what she will be capable of in 6 more months! Here are some recent pictures of our Lilly Pie!

Big Sitting Girl

Lilly is getting really good at sitting up by herself. She can sit and play for quite a few minutes before she tips over. She's even learning to catch herself with her hands (it think). I like this picture with the goofy smile. It reminds me of her goofy dad!
What a happy girl. Doesn't she look happy to be sitting up? Dozer gets scared of Lilly whenever we would put her close to him. Its strange because he will come up and lick her but whenever we would try to put Lilly near him he would jump up and back away. Recently Levi and I have noticed that Lilly notices the dog and cat a lot more often and she likes to pet thier soft fur. We have been sorta holding Dozer on the floor and letting Lilly pet him as we praise Dozer a lot. I think it is really important for him to get used to her since he is such a big dog. And for Lilly to get used to Dozer....since he is such a big dog!

There Was a Little Girl....

"There was a little girl

who had a little curl

right in the middle of her forehead.

When she was good, she was very good.

And when she was bad she was HORRID."

My sister used to say this rhyme to me all the time when I was little. For some reason she always seemed to emphasize that last line. I don't really know why.... My understanding is that I was a perfectly sweet little angel.

Anyways, I caught Lilly's hair like this today and it reminded me of this rhyme. Ecxept that last line totally does not apply to Lilly. At least not right now. Maybe when she's like, 16 (or even 2). I'll get back to you on that one.
And Lilly got a new high chair so she wanted to show it off. She thinks she's a big girl now. Soon she'll be tossing stuff off of it and saying "uh-oh." I can't wait....
