What We Did Today

We wanted to get out of the house today but we weren't sure what we wanted to do or where we wanted to go. We picked Lilly up at Grandma and Grandpa Henning's (she spent the night there because she didn't want to come home with us yesterday evening when we went for a quick swim!). We decided to go to Canadian Lakes and eat and play putt-putt golf. However, when we got there the putt-putt place looked closed and there was nowhere to eat. We ended up in Big Rapids where we ate lunch at Applebee's and then found a putt-putt place.

The best part of the day for me was on the ride home when Lilly randomly said from the back seat, "I think you're pretty mom!" Aww! She just melts my heart sometimes!

Pictures in a Tree

There's no rhyme or reason for these pictures other than the fact that we went to the park, Lilly found a tree she could sit in, I had the camera with me, and Lilly smiled. Enjoy!

Fourth of July

We went to grandma and grandpa's house for the Fourth of July. Before we left I asked Lilly to smile for a picture and this is what I got!

Lilly finally learned to swim with her waterwings. She could do it for quite a while now but was too nervous to let go of anyone's hands. She gained enough confidence today to swim around all by herself. She even likes to jump in the pool, though it is more of a fall if you ask me. Here's a little video of our "turtle" (no, she's not a fish, she's a turtle!).

Later Levi, Lilly and I went to watch fireworks from the Soaring Eagle. They put on a really good show. It put the fireworks display from the city during the Summerfest (last weekend) to shame! Did't take any pictures of that on the camera though.

This is the first 4th we've spent with Lilly! Last year we were at Lacy's wedding and the year before that Levi and I went camping. It was a nice, hot, relaxing day!
